When I'm scrolling through Sephora product list, Instagram stories or YouTube videos about skin care, I am very overwhelmed. I don't know what to believe. I don't know if it works for them, it means it will work for me. I don't know what my actual skin would be defined as. Dry? Oily? Semi Dry in some areas or oily in others?
There are so many questions that I don't have the fancy answers to!
Here are the products that have worked for my skin!
A little back story about how I came about these products. I bought the Ole Henriksen trio because my aunt recommended the Truth Serum to begin with and then I saw the the bundle on Sephora and thought 'that looks like a good deal' and I think I bought my first bundle during a Sephora sale (this is my second bundle). These three products last me about 3 months and then I have to replenish. I think it's a great beginner kit for when you start including skin care products into your routine.
The Ordinary product I came about very randomly. I was doing some digging into skin care and saw the benefit list for Marula Oil and how safe it is for acne-prone skin, which basically sold me. I love that you can use Marula oil on your body & hair and it absorbs so quickly into the skin. You don't need to wait to put your make up on because it's greasy, it just helps the make up glide onn!
The Origins eye cream is amazing! It really helps with my dark circles but it comes with a price tag. It did last me a year though. I tried a couple other products and din't see much of a difference but this one helps a lot.
The actual secret to bright under eyes though is to drink a lot of water. I drink about 6 bottles (the Swell bottle) a day. I love water so it was pretty simple for me to add into my routine. But I have to be careful when I have a busy day of meetings because going to the washroom is a must and happens more frequently. I do want to debunk a myth that someone once asked me 'If I were to do that, I would have so much water retention'. Actually, if you drink a lot of water it helps remove some of that water retention weight you have. Anyways back to skin care products.
I now have a couple more products that I've added onto my skin care but I want to make sure they are 100% helping and then I will make another post about it!
