I've Found My Summer 2020 Pool Side Attire

In between the April showers and May flowers, the sun starts to get a little warmer which makes us think of one thing and one thing only: Summer is coming!

Those dreamy beach days that we've been waiting for are right around the corner and now it's time to plan for the perfect pool attire. With spending so much time at home, I've been doing a lot more research into home decor and planning my next purchases.

I found Kassatex, checked out their website and I was like 'wow! I want that and that and that AND that.'

I thought I can't be the only one that

  1. loves NY brands. They are always so chic.

  2. looks for quality brands

  3. wants to buy from somewhere that isn't Wayfair.

I was on Kassatex for maybe 25 seconds and I fell in love. They've created designs and items I didn't realize I needed in my life until they showed me. I was basically HomeSense shopping online which doesn't happen very often for me.

They have everything from bathroom accessories, robe BLAZERS (like come on), throw blankets to beddings. It's similar to Pottery Barn in terms of quality but with a Hamptons/NYC style: classy, elegant and simple. The best part is that they have so many options. You are sure to find something you like.

You guessed it, this is where I found the chic-est pool-side attire I've seen. I'm already obsessed with blazers so in my head I thought 'I'm sold' then I saw the gold buttons detail and then thought 'double sold'. This is SO chic!

Now I just need to dig a pool in my backyard, until then I will be wearing this after getting out of the shower.

Both The Walter Blazer and the Leopard Headband are made out of 100% cotton Terry Cloth.

You may have been seeing this fabric named 'Terry Cloth'. If you haven't, it's a plush cozy fabric that will absorb water while keeping your skin soft-company. There's a trend that is bringing more awareness to this fabric but it has been around for years and when I write years, I mean over 180 years.

Terry Cloth is a common fabric used for items that will be exposed to water because it's composed of cotton that is in a loop form which helps absorb water. You probably own Terry Cloth and didn't know it was called Terry Cloth. It's one of those classic fabrics.

The reason why Kassatex passed the quality control test for me is because of the following steps I go through in my head when I'm looking for new patio or bath sets (anything that will be exposed to water):

  1. fabric: 100% cotton

  2. weight: heavier means it's more dense. Kassatex adds the weight to their towels (check under 'Details& Care')

  3. edges: I look at the stitching to make sure it has a strong stitch and won't fray in a few years. I don't want to have to buy more towels if I can help it.

I thought I would share a surprising piece of information that you should keep in mind when you're touching towels. I found out that the softness of the towels at the store can come from a coating that the manufacturer adds to the towel. However, after a couple of washes, that coating will disappear and you'll be left with a not-so-soft towel. Keep that in mind if you judge your towels from their softness. Are we talking towels or people?!

I'm going to leave some more bathroom inspo here and let you fall in love with Kassatex.

Take advantage of their sales because quality and luxury doesn't come cheap!

4 types of Bathroom Accessories because I want a different theme for each bathroom.

Kassatex also has some amazing content on their blog with beautiful inspiration. One of them is called 'How to Build a Home Oasis' and they break down how in five easy steps. I love reading brand blogs - it gives me a sense of the brand's essence and what they value.

à la prochaine!
