The Chief Hike BC

Summer is basically over, which only means one thing. Winter body here I come! You heard me, I somehow end up being in great shape during the Winter season and Summer is a different story.

I hiked the Grouse Grind a few times last year, Quarry Rock was a great workout if you jog, and this time we went a bit further, The Chief in Squamish!

The Chief hike is one of the best lower mainland hike I’ve done in a while. I’m not going to lie, the beginning doesn’t look promising because you have to climb a lot of stairs but after that, the fun begins!

Depending on The Chief peak, you can rock climb, climb latters and get really sweaty!

We brought a little picnic for a pick-me up after the hike: goat cheese (because I’m officially lactose intolerant and can’t have cow cheese), some meats and, of course, a baguette! We went a la francaise.

We met a few friends a long the way, birds, squirrels and chipmunks.
